Oleg ("Alec") Savitsky is Master of Sport in Sambo and is one of the few Americans who has an expertise in both divisions of authentic Sambo. A Master of Sport in an elite title given to top athletes in the former Soviet Union.
Since his childhood (back in Georgia, USSR) Oleg has been training in Greco- Roman wrestling, freestyle wrestling, Georgian Chidaoba, Boxing and Sambo. He is also an expert in Judo and various styles of Jiu-Jitsu. He was trained by the best including top combat experts from Russian Special Operation Units.

| Oleg has participated in many Sambo, Judo, submission
grappling, no-holds-barred tournaments and has won multiple titles and
medals. He is an accomplished fighter and has fought the best that
mixed martial arts (MMA) have to offer.
Oleg is proud to have been a part of the USA team, and has represented the United
States 5 times at the Sambo World Championships (FIAS).
Oleg
has twice reached the finals by facing the toughest opponents. At the
Combat Sambo World Championships in Panama 2002 and Prague 2005,
he fought the best heavyweight fighter in the world, Fedor Emalianenko
(#1 ranked heavyweight in the world and Grand Prix champion) in the
semi-finals and
finals. In 2008, in addition to representing the USA internationally
as a top contender, Oleg was chosen to be the coach of the US National
Combat Sambo team at the World Championships in St. Petersburg Russia.
